Wendy McClure is an author and an editor. She is a senior editor at Albert Whitman & Company, where she acquires and publishes YA novels and children’s books. Some of her recent projects include the YA novels Of Better Blood by Susan Moger, Skin and Bones by Sherry Shahan, and Down from the Mountain by Elizabeth Fixmer.
She is the author of seven books, most recently the adult memoir The Wilder Life: My Adventures in the Lost World of Little House on the Prairie and the middle-grade series Wanderville. Additionally, her work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Glamour, The Chicago Sun-Times, and on the radio program This American Life, and in several anthologies.
